Cardio Tennis

All skill levels welcome

Combining the fundamentals of tennis with the intensity of cardio, join us for a cardio tennis course. The focus will be on using tennis hitting, footwork, and full body circuits to not only practice tennis but improve your conditioning. With an emphasis on calorie burning intensity for all levels of play, this is not a rally-based or match play course as it is purely focused on movement and hitting. The cardio tennis course follows a circuit-style format designed to keep up a constant heart rate and make you work hard.

Youth Group Lessons

Youth group lessons follow a 6-week program format. Game (beginner) and Set (intermediate) lessons are 1.5 hours each week while Match (advanced) lessons are 2 hours per week. Youth lessons are designed for players 15 and under of all skill levels.

Book a Group Lesson

Beginner

$180 ($30 per 1.5-hour lesson)
Split into two age groups: 7-10 and 11-15

First-time players will learn the basic fundamentals of playing tennis and be introduced to each individual stroke, including forehand, backhand, volley, overhead, and serve. Players will develop a stroke progression involving the use of mini nets, low compression balls, and hand-eye coordination drills while learning the proper use of court terminology and proper court positioning. Students will be assessed and graded at the end of each session. Rally progression with the use of red balls and orange dot balls will be part of your final test.

Intermediate

Fine tune your stroke mechanics and develop a higher level of consistency with our intermediate course. Learn more about hitting while in motion to combine footwork and stroke mechanics. More advanced rally progressions will be implemented during warm-ups. Orange dot and green dot will be your main source of rally and game playing balls with a slow transition into yellow ball play. With a focus on live-ball drills as well as hand feed/racquet feed drills, the goal will be to start playing more controlled matches. As always, you will be able to put what you’ve learned into motion with fun games adapted to the appropriate group level. Students will be assessed and graded at the end of each session.

About Your Honolulu Tennis Coach

Albert Fitch

Albert Fitch, at the early age of 5, picked up a tennis racket for the first time and hasn’t been able to put it down since. Both of Albert’s parents played tennis and went through great lengths to give him the best training and support needed to conquer the tennis scene. By the age of 13, he was giving tennis lessons to both kids and adults.

When high school came around, Albert was given the number 1 varsity doubles position during his freshman year. From sophomore year on, he secured and maintained the number 1 varsity singles position. Albert went undefeated his whole high school career. He was awarded All-County, All-State, MVP, and Player of the Year for the state of Maryland multiple years in a row. He was also given awards center stage at the Davis Cup in Washington D.C. Albert was scouted by multiple colleges and accepted a full-ride offer to Mount St. Mary’s to play D1 college tennis.

Albert joined the Navy in 2010 and served for 4 years. He was part of the Crash and Salvage team on the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis and went on to two deployments in the Persian Gulf helping to end two wars. After getting out of the Navy in 2014, he moved to Las Vegas where he met his fiancé and welcomed their first daughter.

Albert then became the Head Tennis Pro in the Bay Area of California. When the pandemic hit, his family decided that it was time to give their daughter a life surrounded by love and beautiful culture and relocated to Hawaii.

Albert has a deep love for the game of tennis and hopes to share it with you!
